Abysmal Hymns came to fruition in April of 2011. I decided there needed to be a voice that spoke for the niche corners of sonic darkness that, at that time, were falling through the cracks. It felt like making a mix-tape in high school to turn my friends onto what I was listening to except I was giving it to the whole world. In time, this took more form, and now I review 666 albums a year for this blog alone, along with writing for Treble, Ghost Cult Magazine, Clean Sheets, and No Clean Singing. I also curate the goth column of Treble called Last Dance
Over the years, I have also contributed to the sites Cvlt Nation, Toilet Ov Hell, Global Domination, NPR, Gothic & Amazing, Geeks & Things, Hiplanta, and others. I told myself once I hit one million readers, I would start a Podcast/ Vlog, whih is now the YouTube channel Abysmal Hymns
