This Norweigan band occupies a similar place as Kvelertak. But are more stoner rock, and not black metal at all, Both however have a healthy love of punk rock. So much so that Lou Koller from Sick of it All joins in on the second song. The riffing at times has a hint of 80s metal which works for me. Think Judas Priest or Accept here. "Straight Edgelord" is funny lyrically. It makes fun of the hardcore scene. The title track is more rock n roll with the raspy vocals proving capable of holding melodies down.
Aaron Beam from Red Fang appears on "Bradford Death Squadron" which helps sum up the direction these guys are heading in. It has more metal in its chug than the kind of bong rock Red Fang cranks out. It has plenty of drive and is pretty fun for what it is. "Let's Storm the Capital" seems funny since it affects Norway in no way at all. So this goes to show how Western music has influenced them The pace picks up to a more punk charge forward on "Everyone Falls in the End". Other bands do punk, better they should just stick to what they have been doing. But it's under a minute.
The 80s rock comes back thanks to the drummer on "Gung Ho". It falls somewhere between Alice Cooper and Guns N Roses, which works for me. "No More Good Days" finds them back racing in pursuit of punk. This time with more grit than the previous ditty. They are still better off tempering with more rock. The last song might be one of the album's most solid tracks. I will give this album a 9 as its strong moments balance the songs where they lean into punk past the point of playing to their strengths. If a lot of godo hard rockin' fun.
